I for India, the biggest virtual concert featuring Bollywood and International celebs successfully achieve raised funds.

The I for India which had aimed for raising funds for people in distress due to the coronavirus, had started at 7.30 p.m. and lasted for 4 hours and 20 minutes, raising funds of Rs. 3 crores 44 lakhs. The I for India concert was started live on Facebook with a donate button along with it and will collect funds through Give India a 20 year donation platform. The official announcement of the I for India concert was made on Friday by Karan Johar informing that they had worked on it for the past two weeks. The concert was thought to have raised 6 crores, though 13 thousand people donated and some of the celebs had donated offline. 

The I for India concert witnessed many celebrities nationally and globally, singing, conveying a message or some other things doing their bit. The concert began with Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar describing the concert, its aim and urging people to donate. The following has the list of your favorite celebrities and their contributions.

Akshay Kumar the first celeb to perform recited a poem Tumse Ho Nahi Payega and urged the viewers to donate whatever possible.  

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao were the next to perform a track Aa Chal Ke Tujhe and Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai track and conveyed to be strong during this fight.

Anil Kapoor had conveyed the message to people to remain strong and be superheros by staying safe at home.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy the best musical trio gave a magical performance on one of their best tracks Senorita and Gallan Goodiyan in merriment. 

The I for India concert witnessed some of the best music performers like Sunidhi Chauhan, Harshdeep Kaur, Shreya Ghoshal, Lisa Mishra,Ustad Zakir Hussain,B Praak,Jay Sean Badshah and Papon. The list extends with singers like Raja Kumari, Sarod maestro Amjad and his sons, Nick Jonas AR Rahman, Diljit Dosanjh, Ajay-Atul and rapper Divine added magic to the event by their performances.Pritam Chakraborty and Arijit Singh’s, Sonu Nigam and Bryan Adams too performed.

Twinkle Khanna was seen discussing various issues related to pandemic with an expert in the event.

Sidharth Malhotra made an appearance with his pet dog urging the viewer’s not to abandon and take care of pets in this critical situation.

Vidya Balan had raised the issue for women against domestic violence, a must watch message.

Madhuri Dixit with son Arin sang the amazing song ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran while he was playing the notes on piano.

Katrina Kaif had a talk with experts regarding Indian policy for covid-19.

Kartik Aaryan raised awareness for daily wage workers and to support them. 

Celebrities like Bhumi Pednekar, Arjun Kapoor, Jack Black, Aditya Roy Kapur, Dulquer Salmaan, Kapil Sharma, Kate Bosworth, Rana Daggubati, Shruti Haasan,urged for donations to the viewer. The list also continues with Gulzar as well as rock legend Mick Jagger

Javed Akhtar recited his poem Bhookh to convey a message for people dying from hunger.

Priyanka Chopra raised the issue of covid warriors being attacked and recalled her parents as doctors.

Amitabh Bachchan and filmmaker Mira Nair paid tribute to the recent deaths in Bollywood.

The I for India event saw other celebrities like Sania Mirza,Dia Mirza, Shabana Azmi, Rani Mukerji, Vishal Bharadwaj and Rekha, Abhishek Bachchan,  Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Tiger Shroff, Parineeti Chopra doing their bit. The list extends to Ayushmann Khurrana, Kusha Kapila, Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt and Shaheen, Will Smith, Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh. It ended with Shah Rukh Khan and Abraham.
